Let's have a quick test. Open your favorite browser, visit the official website of Google and type this number "13123390". Press the search button and then click on the fourth page from the search engine result page. Then, look at the results bar displayed just under the search box. It should display some weird numbers "Showing results: 31 - 40 of about 27". Impossible, huh? It looks like everything is possible with Google. Now, let's talk a little bit about the error and analyze the facts that can cause this weird error.

First of all, when I searched Google for the first time with this keyword, I was logged in with my Google account and the search engine returned the following message: "Personalized Results 31 - 40 of about 27 for 13123390. (0.07 seconds)." As you can see, all of them are personalized results; that means the search technology analyzed my older search queries and returned only the ones that match my options. OK, I said, let's search Google without being logged in and see what happens. I pressed the sign out button and... the same message but without the "personalized" term. "Results 31 - 40 of about 27 for 13123390. (0.02 seconds)," the search engine said. So, it's quite obvious it isn't a personalization option so let's talk about the next speculation.

The number was provided by F-Secure Labs, a security company that identified the issue and tried to find out what happens using the visitors' help. Although I'm not quite sure, I can give my opinion: it is probably an error caused by the removal of numerous links indexed by Google, the search engine displaying the old number of the results, including the deleted content. However, a weird error is also returned for some random number, the search technology saying that it displays the results 1-2 from about 0. Any idea?
