Nintendo has just revealed its new update to the WiiWare and DSiWare online services, which brings new downloadable titles and a new Virtual Console game for the Wii, as well as a few applications for the Nintendo DSi.

In this new Nintendo Download Update, the Japanese company brings two new WiiWare titles, Triple Throwing Sports and The Very Hungry Caterpillar's ABCs, as well as one Virtual Console game, Aero the Acrobat 2, which was originally launched for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

Triple Throwing Sports, as its name suggests, allows up to two players to try their hand at throwing sports like the javelin, discus, shot put or the hammer.

The game has been published by The Code Monkeys, is rated E for Everyone and is priced at 500 Wii Points.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar's ABCs is an educational game, based on the popular The Very Hungry Caterpillar children's book.

The game features alphabet flash cards, as well as a vocabulary quiz, suited for preschool-aged children.

The title allows parents to track their child's progression, and is available for 500 Wii Points.

For the Virtual Console section, retro enthusiasts will be able to enjoy Aero the Acrobat 2, as originally seen on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

The game tells the story of Aero the Acro-Bat, who now needs to use his acrobatic powers to foil a criminal plot engineered by evil industrialist Edgar Ektor.

45 levels are included in the game, complete with bonus rounds, chance stages and hidden chambers that need to be explored by Aero and the player, in exchange for 800 Wii Points.

Nintendo DSi owners will be able to download the Nintendo Countdown Calendar, the GO Series 10 Second Run and Everyday Soccer off the DSiWare service.

As its name clearly says, the Nintendo Countdown Calendar helps you keep track of events that you can schedule in the program, and lets you know when they need to be completed, all for 200 DSi Points.

GO Series 10 Second Run is a racing game developed by Gamebridge, but doesn't let you drive a car.

Instead, for 200 DSi Points, players will gain control of a stick man that needs to run for his life in 50 obstacle-filled courses and reach a specific goal in just 10 seconds.

Sports fans will also be able to enjoy Everyday Soccer, for 500 DSi Points, which enables players to control a whole soccer team and customize it in every way imaginable.

You can also play against a friend via the DS Download Play feature.
