Reactor Watches is the first one to introduce the watch with never-ending dark illumination. The new addition to the portfolio is called Trident, looks good and seems to have been designed for the enraged clubbers that drink more than they should and wonder how late it is.

This watch, just like the rest of its series incorporates the famous Reactor "Never Dark" technology, that combines the well-known phosphorescent paint, which recharges after exposure to light and glows in the darkness, with small tritium filled tubes that glow, for up to 7 years. How come?

The "Never Dark" technology combines intense brightness of Superluminova with the longevity of tritium, to provide optimal illumination under almost all the lighting conditions. That means continuously timing displaying no matter the activity the owner performs. The idea came up after Reactor thought about the fact that it takes up to 30 minutes for the human eye to fully adjust itself to the dark, minutes that could be vital in some circumstances.

The Trident series are available in either a solid titanium or marine-grade stainless steel finish, is waterpoof to a depth of 200 meters and fits any type of outfit, since black matches everything. Regarding the pricing and availability details, the watches retail for reasonable price tags around 300 bucks depending on the version you choose.

Despite the fact that tritium is known as an radioactive material, the fellows from Reactor representatives claim that the products are completely safe since the decay of the weak beta particles is contained within the carefully sealed glass tubes and the particle itself are not strong enough to penetrate the human skin.

The Beta version - why the name if the particles are not dangerous? - features solid 316L stainless steel construction, a secure screw bar case-to-band interface and a triple o-ring screw down crown system.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
