Call of Duty: Black Ops has managed to return to the top of the United Kingdom chart sooner than expected while DC Universe Online, the new MMO based around superheroes that was created by Sony Online Entertainment, has only managed to sell enough copies to reach tenth place.

Call of Duty: Black Ops, developed by Treyarch and published by Activision Blizzard, is set to get a set of four new multiplayer maps and one zombie-based one on February 1, with the First Strike downloadable content package, and gamers might have begun getting the game in anticipation.

FIFA 11, last week's number one, is now in second and will likely stay up until the first big launches of 2011, Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm, arrive in the coming days and weeks.

Just Dance 2 from Ubisoft has also slipped down one place to reach third while Wii Fit Plus from Nintendo has seen an increase in its standing.

Kinect Sports has also seen a significant jump, reaching fifth place coming from down in tenth, probably showing an uptick in sales of the Kinect motion tracking add on for the Xbox 360 home console from Microsoft.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit from Criterion and Electronic Arts is in sixth, down two places this week while Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood from Ubisoft is in seventh, down one place.

Gran Turismo 5 from Polyphony Digital and Sony is in eight place, still losing the racing game duel with Need for Speed, while Fallout: New Vegas, the Obsidian developed mix between role playing and action, is in ninth place, selling well despite the bugs that it had at launch, a lot of them eliminated through patching.

DC Universe Online is one of the high profile MMO releases of the year and Sony must be a bit disappointed to see that the game was only debuted at number 10 in the United Kingdom chart.

The Sims 3 is out of the top ten this week.
