If you can't find or raise any waves, this should tide you over

It's easy enough to surf on the sea shore, where the tide and constant waves are ripe for the picking at any time, but it's harder to do on calm waters. Even impossible really.

So Waterwolf decided to fix that by creating an e-power assisted electrical surfboard.

Called Waterwolf MXP-3, it is used for electric moto-surfing and uses a 5 kW, water-cooled motor to drive a propeller located at the back.

A 20 Ah lithium-ion battery powers the thing and can last for 20 to 25 minutes on a charge, which translates into 8 kilometers or 5 miles.

Waterwolf claims that the propeller drive is fine-tuned for quick turns. You can use a Bluetooth handheld throttle to adjust speed and output. There's even a top-mounted LCD that shows battery and speed info.

And if you fall off, there's a magnetic emergency kill switch that cuts power (there's a strap that pulls the connector out).

Sales will begin in May, for €6,990 / $9,560 in sizes of 94 and 96 inches (240 and 245 cm).
