You need to stop doing whatever it is that you are doing right now and take a minute and 20 seconds to check out this video showing the northern lights dancing and prancing over St. Cloud, Minnesota.

And then take another 30 minutes or so to keep replaying it. Trust me, you'll feel compelled to do so.

The mesmerizing display of colors and lights was caught on camera by a freelance videographer, who later pieced the images together and created this gorgeous time-lapse video.

Apparently, the northern lights, also known as the aurora borealis, were also visible in Calgary, and even in Toronto.

Specialists say that they form whenever charged particles and solar winds collide in our planet's atmosphere. Most of the time, the northern lights are only visible at fairly high latitudes. Hence their name.
