The working principles behind modern wind turbines are rather old, yet still efficient

Given the fact that we often speak about harvesting wind power and about wind turbines, we considered it worthwhile to also present you this video explaining how these devices work.

More precisely, this footage shows which "ancient" parts and mechanisms made their way into modern wind turbines, and what happens inside such a device in order for electricity to be produced.

Although wind turbines only recently began receiving considerable media attention, the fact remains that their working principles are rather old, and were in fact developed by farmers who wished to make sure their cattle never went without water.

Human society might have put windmills behind it, yet the wind power technologies we now have at our disposal owe their efficiency and design to them.
