Fred Astaire could've learned a thing or two from this bird

Judging by this video, seagulls make excellent tap dancers. True, rhythm isn't exactly their strong point, but one has to agree that these birds can sure move their feet at amazing speeds.

The video made it online a few days back, and tens of thousands have already seen it.

As much fun as we humans might have watching this video, it seems that the seagull did not even once think about tap dancing just to entertain Internauts.

Quite the contrary, what this bird is doing is trying to trick worms into coming out of their hiding places. The sound it keeps making with its feet is supposed to imitate the sound of rain.

The worms unlucky enough to fall for this trick will soon enough leave the underground and head for the surface. Once there, they'll be greeted (and eaten) by the clever bird.
