This video will give you the creeps, make you really glad you are not a balloon

Few would ever suspect it but, as it turns out, the life of a balloon is by no means all fun and games. Sure, they get to attend weddings and birthday parties, but, every once in a while, one of them is brutally sacrificed for the sake of entertainment.

And let me tell you, the sight is not at all pretty. Quite the opposite, and chances are those more sensitive will sob, maybe even let out a river of tears when witnessing how poor, innocent balloons are sometimes treated.

The video above was shared with the public a couple of days ago by BBC Earth, and it shows a snake attacking and killing a red balloon. The event is presented both at normal speed and in slow motion and will probably give you the creeps.

According to Huffington Post, the snake featured in this video is a Puff Adder. Although they chiefly hunt rats and mice, sometimes even small mammals, these reptiles are extraordinary predators, and their speed when attacking more then proves it.

Interestingly enough, the snake did not even have to bite into the balloon to get it to burst. On the contrary, all it took to kill it was one gentle brush of the reptile's fangs across the balloon's surface.
