The Korean tech giant launches new commercial that aggressively takes the competiton

Tech manufacturers poking fun at each other in commercials isn’t something new. Actually, it appears the strategy has become a real trend and each time a product maker launches a device ad, we can expected to see at least Apple getting bashed (let’s face it, the fruity tech giant is everybody’s favorite).

But what if I told you that there’s an ad taking on everyone without much discrimination. Samsung’s latest video showcasing the greatness of the Samsung PRO series does just that, leaving nothing out.

In the first scene, we see a panicky iPad user who’s being asked to send some files to his boss, while he’s using another application. Like you’d expect he is unable to do so, but his colleague using a stylish Samsung GalaxyPRO (capable of multi-tasking) has no trouble impressing his boss by delivering what was asked. The Apple owner says disheartened “(My iPad) can’t do two things at once.”

Moving on to the next scene, we see two colleagues working on a smallish coffee table who are joined by a third. She asks one of them to move his “laptop” a little bit, a remark he takes offense to.

Actually, he explains this is a Microsoft Surface tablet (is owning a laptop that awful, Samsung?). The other two, who are sophisticated Samsung GalaxyPRO users aren’t really convinced. Is it not a laptop if there’s a keyboard, battery dock and a mouse? We guess the concept of 2-in-1s was not familiar to the people making the video.

Anyway, Sammy is a little hypocritical here, judging by the fact that it too is offering a dedicated keyboard companion for the larger GalaxyPRO tablets, in the form of the Logitech PRO Keyboard. But these are just details to be disconsidered, when you’re counting on the big effect.

Next up, we have a bunch of ladies meeting for the book club discussion over tea. One of them confesses the book she has been reading actually makes no sense, and the others agree.

Another, promptly suggests they try and look up the analysis of the book online, which the Samsung user can easily do, thanks to the tablet’s multi-tasking abilities. She is able to open the YouTube app, without closing the eReading app.

The Kindle owner in the group points out her tablet can’t get that app and when asked by the others what it is her device can do, she sternly replies “Books.”

Last but not least, there’s two ladies relaxing in a spa, with one of them watching video on her GalaxyPRO. The other one has an iPad and she’s puzzled about the GalaxyPRO having a better screen than the iPad, despite it being equipped with the “Retina thingy.”

Anyway, Samsung’s has been known for its somehow aggressive marketing strategies and is not shy of bashing the competition when it needs to be done. Check out the video spot and have a good laugh.
