Samsung has some new tablets and they go by the Galaxy Tab S name. Samsung appears mighty proud of these products, because since their release approximately a month ago, it has been bombarding us with video ads and campaigns, while promising to throw in extra bundles of goodies to everybody willing to jump in the AMOLED bandwagon.

And what is one of Samsung’s favorite activities? Poke a little fun at their Arch competitor, Apple. In the latest set of video commercials outlining the impressive feats of the two new devices, Samsung is not holding back at comparing the devices’ performance to the iPad in full view.

In the first one, two friends are watching a movie on their own tablets. Which is a little odd, since why would you watch a movie with a buddy if you’re not looking at the same screen? Anyway, one of them has an iPad while the other boasts Samsung’s new AMOLED slate.

In one of the scenes, a guy is hiding in the shadows stalking a lady. But the iPad user can’t see him, because his tablet doesn't offer a high contrast ratio like the AMOLED display is capable of.

Samsung boasts that Super AMOLED screens provide 100 times higher contrast than regular LCDs, and you get to take a look at the proof too.

Moving on to the second commercial, we see Samsung highlighting a feature that has eluded the iPad so far: multi-tasking.

A father is baby-sitting his toddler, but the kid obviously wants to watch cartoons, while the dad wants to check out the sport sections. So with his iPad Air in hand, he tries to alternate between the animated motion picture and his sports’ website.

But there is a better way of doing things, Samsung says. With the Samsung Galaxy Tab S, you can open two tabs simultaneously, so both baby and dad can be happy at the same time.

These ads focus on making a comparison between the iPad and the new Samsung tabs, but it could have been worse.

A while ago, Samsung poked some serious fun at the Apple iPad, Microsoft Surface and Amazon Kindle Fire tablets in its GalaxyPRO ads, calling them all useless.

The GalaxyPRO series of tablets are products mostly targeted for business users and the largest of the bunch, the 12.2-inch TabPRO and NotePRO, aim to be laptop replacements.

Anyway, going back to our original story, you can check out the new Galaxy Tab S commercial below. No name calling involved.
