The animals seem quite happy about returning to their home

Back in December 2012, two emaciated sea lions showed up in Laguna Beach, California. Luckily for them, the people working with the Pacific Marine Mammal Center had both the resources and the knowledge needed in order to properly look after them.

Thus, the sea lions managed to put on some weight and, once the vets agreed that they were ready to take on life in the ocean, they were released fairly close to the place where they were first found.

It often happens that, when humans try returning various wild animals to their homes, the latter prove rather unwilling to abandon their caretakers.

However, these two sea lions did not delay in running straight into the ocean and swimming away. Here's hoping that they will manage to take good care of themselves in the future.
