A 7-year-old tigress living at Japan's Tobu Zoo has recently given birth to four white tigers. The tiger cubs, featured in the video above, were fathered by 5-year-old Rocky.

For the time being, the tiger cubs are only allowed to hang around with their mother. However, once they grow a tad more and start feeling a little stronger, they will be introduced to their father.

The people in charge of looking after them intend to keep them in isolation for a few more weeks, thus giving them the opportunity to become more familiar with their surroundings prior to their also having to deal with people's looking at them and maybe even taking pictures.

Therefore, visitors to the zoo will have to be patient and wait until early May if they wish to see these adorable tiger cubs up close.

Due to their having an unusual body color, white tigers are rather rare in the wild.

This is because they have a difficult time blending in with their surroundings and are vulnerable to predators during their first few months of life.
