Yesterday saw the leak of the first official trailer for “The Dark Knight Rises,” Chris Nolan's third and final Batman film. Today, Warner Bros. intros the HD trailer – and you can see it in full above.

For months, fans of the franchise (and not only) have been bombarded with video and photos from the set of the film. It's just now that they can finally grasp the true epicness of “The Dark Knight Rises.”

The trailer, set on the superb “Chant” by Hans Zimmer, offers only a first look at the plot of the third installment, which has been, until now, kept under wraps.

We might as well assume that it doesn't give away much of the story but, at the same time, it offers plenty of important hints: Bane is taking over Gotham, Batman is cornered from all sides, there are several new players in the game.

More importantly, the first clip promises an adventure like no other before, by pitting the Bat against one of the most ruthless, brutal and impressive villains ever: Bane. For once, the odds tip against the caped crusader.

“The Dark Knight Rises” stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman.

Without further ado, above is the first official trailer. Enjoy.
