Unveiled yesterday at Microsoft’s BUILD 2014 developer conference, the Lumia 930 is Nokia’s new flagship smartphone. At the same time, Lumia 930 is among the first smartphones to ship with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box.

According to Nokia, the Lumia 930 will be available on the market beginning June for $600 (€435) off contract and before taxes and subsidies.

The Finnish company confirmed the smartphone will be rolled out in Europe, Asia, India, Middle East and Latin America initially, and will continue to rollout throughout the world during the summer.

Nokia Lumia 930 will not be released in the United States anytime soon. One possible reason is the fact that it’s in fact the international version of Nokia Lumia Icon, which is now available in the United States exclusively through Verizon Wireless.

Although there are still a few months left until the release of the Lumia 930, Nokia released an official hands-on video in order to show Windows Phone fans what they should expect from its new flagship smartphone.

First of all, the state-of-the-art design follows the same Lumia form factor, but provides an elegant and unique look of its own. Nokia Lumia 930 features an aluminum frame, metallic accents and an exquisite polycarbonate back.

It comes with a non-removable battery, which means users won’t be able to switch the back cover. However, Nokia Lumia 930 will be available in four colors options: bright orange, bright green, black and white. More color schemes may be added in the future, though we have yet to confirm it with Nokia.

It is also worth mentioning that Nokia has built wireless charging into the phone’s chassis, so users will only need to place the Lumia 930 on the wireless pillow to get it recharged.

As mentioned earlier, Nokia Lumia 930 comes with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box, which provides lots of new features and improvements in comparison with the previous version of the platform.

Aside from that, it comes equipped with Nokia’s full suite of apps and services, including Nokia Camera, MixRadio and HERE Maps. But that’s not all. The Lumia 930 also packs some Microsoft services and apps such as OneDrive and MS Office.

Among the most powerful features embedded onto the Lumia 930 are the 20-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss lens, the 5-inch full HD (1080p) capacitive touchscreen display and the impressive 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
