Former Disney star still plays up her bad girl image, isn’t very convincing

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you must know that, for the past few months, Miley Cyrus has been putting in extra hours in an obvious attempt to reinvent herself as a black girl. The latest chapter in her journey to street cred is represented by the video above.

It’s for her collaboration with Mike Will Made It and Wiz Khalifa, “23,” which actually sees Miley try her hand at rapping – or at least I think that’s what she’s trying to do.

*Please note that discretion is recommended because it contains language and images that might offend.

Miley insists that her shocking transformation stems out of a desire to be like any other young woman her age and do something stupid because she’s been an adult for far too long, having grown up in the spotlight and all that.

She also says she’s not “faking” any of it, because that’s how she is right now as an artist, so the world should just let her be.

If only she stopped trying so hard (like she’s obviously doing in the video above), she’d probably get to have her cake and eat it too.
