A video recently made available for fans of biodiversity and Internet explorers shows how, with just one punch, mantis shrimps can cause significant damages to the things or animals it targets.

Because they spend most of their lives hiding away in burrows or holes, mantis shrimps more often than not fail to receive the attention they deserve given the fact that they are some of the most important marine predators currently living in tropical and sub-tropical aquatic ecosystems.

Marine biologists explains that these solitary creatures are highly aggressive ones, and that they do not shy away from delivering incredibly powerful punches whenever the situation calls for it to happen that way.

The video above shows a mantis shrimp taking down a crab, and stands as proof of how amazing these marine creatures are.
