Lenovo pulled the veil off its 8-inch Lenovo Miix 2 tablet in October. Now the company has launched the first official promo video showcasing the capabilities of the slate.

Unlike many other commercials we have seen so far, this one doesn’t have a voice over. So we’re given a quick tour (accompanied by some music) of the things we can do with the Miix 2. It has seemingly become a mainstream marketing strategy to say that one's tablet is built for both work and play, and Lenovo follows this recipe as well.

The Windows 8 slate comes with an 8-inch display and a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, while being powered by an Intel Atom Bay Trail T Quad Core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM plus Intel HD Graphics.

Thus, users shouldn't experience any problems in running games as we are demonstrated in the clip. At the same time, customers can use the slate to be productive and create presentations or edit charts.

The tablet can be coupled with a smart stylus and a protective cover that can be turned into a support stand. The video also makes a point in showcasing the device is very slim and easy to handle, weighing just 350 g / 0.77 pounds.
