If you believe having an imaginary friend all throughout childhood is simply the coolest thing ever, you might want to rethink this opinion after checking out the video above.

The footage shows two kids, Malan and his sister Kayla, who got the chance to grow alongside cheetahs.

Sources say that the kids and the felines are best friends, and spend quite a lot of time playing together.

The cheetah cubs were adopted by this family in Western Cape, South Africa about a year ago. Apparently, the cubs were part and parcel of a litter of four born at the Garden Route Game Lodge.

Parents Kim and Hein Schoeman hope that, under their care, the cheetahs will grow to become independent and that, at some point in the future, it might be possible to reintroduce them into the wild.
