14 DAY TRIAL // After her latest single “Roar,” where Katy Perry was struggling to deal with jungle life and singing about empowerment in an outfit recalling that of Tarzan's companion Jane, a change in style is welcome.
I'm happy to see the singer taking on a different look as she sings her way through a winter wonderland on the set of a Russian Ball and declares her unconditional love.
The sneak peek to her new video, for “Unconditionally,” shows Katy participating in a 19th century Russian Ball wearing a beautifully adorned gold dress, while weeping for what seems to be a lost love. As she expresses her pain, the singer appears to be dressed in a bridal gown surrounded by handsome young men and enduring heavy snow.
I have to admit that the song is quite good, bringing back an emotional Katy. The video is also interesting especially if you like the opulence that Russian Balls are known for. After songs like “Roar” or “Dressin' Up,” “Unconditionally” really makes a difference.
