Rapper explains recent Twitter rant, talks about the Kardashians and his street cred

As announced yesterday, Jimmy Kimmel had Kanye West as guest on his show, despite the recent Twitter rant in which the rapper pretty much called him the lowest of all scumbags in the media. You can see the full interview in the two videos embedded in this blog post.

First of all, Kimmel had Kanye explain his outburst, in the hope of convincing people at home that the “feud” had not been previously set up as some sort of publicity stunt.

Kanye says that he never does publicity stunts, which is ironic because he’s dating the woman who practically built a career on them, Kim Kardashian.

Speaking of whom, Kimmel refers to her as Kanye’s “wife,” which has sparked some speculation that they might have married in secret.

Kanye also talks about how he can’t help it but say out loud in media interviews that he’s a genius, because not saying it would equal lying – and he’s anything but a liar.

He hates snobbery and people who say he’s losing street cred as a rapper for dating a reality star, and isn’t totally against the paparazzi, even though he was recently accused of assault.

“You do help me get money, paparazzi; you show people how fresh my outfit is. But don't ask me about something you saw in the tabloids. Don't antagonize me. It's not safe for you in this zoo,” Kanye says.
