14 DAY TRIAL // One would expect cheetahs to outsmart impalas, and this is generally true. Still, it sometimes happens that one such herbivore defies expectations and proves surprisingly witty.
The video above shows how, in an attempt to avoid being caught by a pair of cheetahs, an impala leaped into a car full of tourists. The footage was shot in South Africa, in the Krueger National Park.
Most of the people who've had the chance to witness the scene were left speechless. Others could not help but voice their amazement.
Not long after the cheetahs had abandoned the hunt, the tourists simply opened the car's door and allowed the impala to walk free.
The herbivore might have taken the correct decision when jumping into the vehicle, but I doubt that the people inside the car were right in letting it do so.
Let's not even try to imagine what would've happened if the cheetahs dove in after it.
