Despite countless warnings and troubling reports issued by conservationists and green-oriented groups, most people fail to give deforestation the attention it deserves.

Hopefully, the spoof documentary made available to you above will help change this situation.

The video targets the HSBC, which happens to be one of the largest banking and financial services institutions in the world, and blames it for doing business with logging companies that wreak havoc on the environment.

Bill Oddie hopes that this spoof documentary will also convince people to take the time and sign a petition asking that HSBC quit funding such logging companies.

“HSBC need to set a good example as Britain's biggest bank. As HSBC CEO, please do all you can to immediately stop your bank’s role in devastating forests and putting the lives of local people at risk,” the petition reads.

Those who want to sign it can do so here.
