Baby animals are pretty much helpless during their first few weeks of life, somehow this makes then even cuter

Let's face it, pretty much all baby animals are annoyingly adorable. They're teeny tiny, helpless and very much confused about the world around them. For some reason, this makes them even cuter.

The video below, put together by the folks behind YouTube channel Earth Unplugged, introduces us to some of the world's most adorable young creatures. Fair warning: you should brace yourself for a cuteness overdose before watching it.

Not at all surprisingly, polar bear cubs made the cut for this top ten cutest baby animals ever, what with their puffy bodies and their clumsiness when trying to keep up with their mom and exploring their frozen world.

What's interesting is that they only landed the third position. Apparently, there are some who think that piglets are cuter than they are. If you ask me, this really isn't the case.

The one thing I'm not going to argue against is the fact that panda cubs are said to be the absolute cutest young creatures. The thing is that, when they are born, baby panda have no hair covering their body.

Besides, they are freakishly smaller than their mom. It is only after a few months that they become the black and white fur balls we all love and adore.
