The jacket is meant to help the fish swim around its tank

A goldfish named Einstein nearly drowned when it lost its ability to control its buoyancy.

Wishing to keep this from happening, Einstein's owner took some tubes and made a life jacket for the fish.

Joking aside, the medical condition that made it impossible for Einstein to keep exploring its aquatic home is commonly known as swim bladder disease.

Owner Leighton Naylor from Blackpool reportedly said that, once affected by this disease, Einstein would turn upside down in its tank and often sank to the bottom of it.

“He's always been a fighter so when he sunk to the bottom one day and couldn't get back up again it was a very sorry sight,” Einstein's owner told members of the press.

Apparently, Einstein got used to its life jacket sooner than one might expect. Check out the video above to see this very lucky fish swim around with the help of the life jacket.
