This new PETA video aims to convince people to quit eating meat

Pigs are simply fascinating. They enjoy listening to music, playing with soccer balls, getting massages, playing video games and even talking about philosophical matters while enjoying a cup of tea.

OK, maybe the part about how pigs are interested in philosophy is not exactly true, but all the other pig facts are. Or at least this is what PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) would have us believe.

The video above made it online just yesterday, and it details everything you ever wanted and needed to know about pigs in just 60 seconds. Call it a crash-course in pigology, if you feel like you need to label it.

The video is narrated by the organization's founder and current President, Ingrid E. Newkirk. Like many other PETA videos before it, it is intended to convince people to quite eating meat and turn to veggies, fruit and other animal-friendly treats instead.

The message is pretty straightforward: given the fact that pigs are absolutely awesome, how could anyone even think about turning them into slices of crispy bacon or juicy steaks?

Truth be told, I doubt this video will get all that many meat eaters to go vegan. Still, I suppose nobody can blame PETA for trying to promote environmentally and animal-friendly behaviors.
