In the previous episode, we found out that the cybercriminals tricked a programmer into developing a sophisticated piece of malware.
After learning that he was only a pawn in something much bigger than he had ever imagined, the developer tried to get back at the man who hired him. However, his real IP became visible so the authorities managed to identify him and track him down.
It turns out that the cybercriminals behind the attack on The Switch hired the 24-year-old hacktivist knowing that he would do his best as long as he believed it was for a good cause.
