This gorgeous video was shot in the waters of West Papua

First off, I would just like to say that, until now, I haven't given much thought to the idea of exploring in the open ocean. However, I have to admit that, after watching this video, I am seriously considering the possibility of going diving.

In fact, I dare say that I would very much enjoy spending some time swimming alongside aquatic creatures, provided that they are as cool and non-threatening as the whale sharks featured in the video below.

The footage made it online this past April 16, when it was posted on YouTube by One World One Ocean. Apparently, it is a clip from the IMAX documentary “Journey to the South Pacific.”

The documentary was released back in December 2013 and is narrated by Cate Blanchett. I for one haven't gotten around to seeing it, but I suppose now I have the right incentive to do so.

What I mean is that, if the documentary is anywhere as cool as this 46-second video, then it is well worth my taking the time to watch it.

According to the video's description on YouTube, the footage was shot in the waters of West Papua, a province of Indonesia. I really hope you will enjoy watching it as much as I have, and do share your thoughts on it in the comments section.
