Oxfam and Coldplay fans have recently launched a campaign aimed at raising awareness about how land grabs harm human communities worldwide.

Both Oxfam and the Coldplay fans that helped create this video hope that their short film will convince the World Bank to pay closer attention to how land is sold and bought on a global scale.

The video was created by director Mat Whitecross, who wished to make it as clear as possible that thousands of families worldwide were the ones harmed the most by land grabs.

The footage is a crowd-sourced one, meaning that, over the past two months, countless people have been sending Mat Whitecross both pictures and videos.

“As a long-term supporter of Oxfam, I was keen to help and take on the challenge. I felt a huge responsibility to produce something that lived up to the commitment of the fans who had given their time and shared their voices to make real change,” the director reportedly said.
