A camera buggy by the name Car-L is now making headlines, and almost everybody is dying to find out how it managed to infiltrate a lion pride, take pictures of the felines and live to tell the tale.

Car-L has not made any official statements on the matter, but its manager says that it all boils down to looking completely harmless and definitely inedible.

Joking aside, this footage was obtained by photographer Chris McLennan.

Together with engineer Carl Hansen, the photographer fitted a remote-controlled buggy with a camera, and then sent it to snap close-ups of a lion pride in Botswana.

Not at all surprisingly, Car-L got the big cats' attention, and it did not take long for them to come have a closer look.

Luckily, none of them felt like biting into the camera buggy or give it a whole-hearted slap, just to see if the weird contraption would fight back.

Photographer Chris McLennan says that, in the future, he plans to use the camera buggy to get close to other wild creatures. Here's hoping he will be at least as successful as he was when he decided to “stalk” the lion pride.
