14 DAY TRIAL // On July 7, an Asian elephant living at Fort Worth Zoo in Texas, US gave birth to an adorable baby girl. Belle is now about a month old, and seems ready and willing to make the most of life.
The video above was posted online only a few days back, and shows the baby elephant splashing around and playing in a kiddie pool.
Truth be told, it looks to me like Belle is a tad too big to play in this tiny pool. Still, she doesn't seem to mind the situation.
Staff at Fort Worth Zoo say that, when she was born, the baby elephant weighed an impressive 300 pounds (136 kilograms). Since then, she has been adding some 2 pounds (almost 1 kilogram) to her figure on a daily basis.
“She is curious and full of personality, learning new things every day, learning what her trunk is for, learning to use her legs,” a spokesperson for the zoo told the press, as cited by The Inquisitr.
