Asian elephants are believed to be an endangered species, which is why high officials in Cambodia have recently decided to team up with the Wildlife Conservation Society and set up some camera traps across the country's forest areas.

These camera traps were supposed to help shed new light on these creatures' lives, thus allowing conservationists to better understand their daily routine and protect them. Mongabay says that the elephants featured in the video above were all caught on camera in a Cambodian forest area known as Seima.

The animals look as if they have absolutely no care in the world except for strolling through the forest and finding food for themselves and their family.

However, greenheads warn that poaching activities, habitat loss and conflicts with local human communities are threats that Cambodia's Asian elephants must face each and every day of their lives.
