ASUS has been busy launching its latest range of tablet computers at Computex this year. And one of them is really an eye catcher. The MeMO Pad 8 is a device taking advantage of the most recent Intel chip architecture and we expect to hear great things about it.

Anyway, given the tablets specifications, the folks over at TabletBlog wanted to see how the slate would perform in a gaming test.

To remind you, the MeMO Pad 8 has a full HD (1920 x 1200 pixel resolution) 8-inch screen and embeds an Intel Atom Z3580 Moorefield processor. The slate also has 4G LTE function and 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

The gaming demo consisted in loading two relatively demanding titles like Dead Trigger 2 and GT Racing 2 and see how the tablet leveraged them.

As you can see in the video posted bellow, navigating in Dead Trigger seems to be achieved without much difficulty, so the Moorefield processor rises to meet the expectations.

Moving on GT Racing 2 is no exception either, running pretty smoothly and confirming the slate is capable of handling demanding gaming apps.

Surely, the MeMO Pad 8 hasn’t been built to be a gaming machine per se, but those tableters who enjoy some occasional gaming will be deeply pleased.
