Here is a video that is sure to please and entertain those born with an appetite for destruction. The footage was shot in Germany, and it shows a 41-year-old Frankfurt University building getting blown into smithereens.

The explosion was not an accidental, but a deliberate and controlled one, Mirror reports.

Interestingly enough, it would appear that this building is the tallest of its kind to have until now been demolished in this manner in Europe.

In order destroy the building, specialists used about 950 kilograms (about 2,094 pounds) of an explosive known as Nitropenta.

They also set up a 250 meters (roughly 820 feet) exclusion zone around the 380 feet (115.5 meters) skyscraper, just to make sure that nobody would be hurt.

To ensure that the demolition would not release too much dust into the air, water canisters were blown up together with the building.
