14 DAY TRIAL // Precisely one year ago, Cher’s only daughter, Chastity Bono, announced that she would start the process of becoming a man by getting gender reassignment surgery and legally calling herself Chaz. Chaz has reached the end of his journey – as a new celebrity offspring is about to embark on her own, The Telegraph informs.
Warren Beatty and Annette Bening’s daughter Kathlyn has been calling herself Stephen and has even started a Facebook page for her new male identity, reports in the US media suggest, citing sources speaking to the National Enquirer. Kathlyn told her parents she would get surgery once she was 18 and, the legal age reached, she is now preparing to do so, tipsters also reveal. Warren and Annette are reportedly having a very hard time accepting their daughter’s decision.
“Kathlyn Beatty, 18, has called herself Stephen and is attending college dressed as a man, the National Enquirer reported. She was said to have started a Facebook page, under her new male name, where she posted a picture of herself in a man’s suit and tie,” The Telegraph writes. Indeed, several media outlets have in their online version a picture of Kathlyn in men clothes, though, to be perfectly fair, it can mean something else than that she’s determined to become a man herself, it is being said.
“Kathlyn Beatty is the eldest daughter of Beatty and Bening. They have three other children. She is said to have told her parents that once she turned 18 she would pursue her desire to become a man. Classmates told the Enquirer that she had asked to be called Stephen. A Hollywood friend told the tabloid: ‘Annette still remains very close to Kathlyn. And while Warren loves his daughter and will never turn his back on her, this experience is crushing him’,” The Telegraph further writes.
Warren and Annette are one of the most solid and happy couples in Hollywood. They met on the set of “Bugsy” in 1991 and have been practically inseparable ever since. Contacted for comment on the Enquirer story, neither was immediately available.
