Electronic Arts and Trapdoor have confirmed when their interesting Warp downloadable game will be released on platforms besides the Xbox 360, reaching the PC and PlayStation 3 in March.

Warp hasn’t really been hyped up by the two companies up until recently, with only a few videos and some scarce details appearing every now and then.

Fortunately, Microsoft piqued the interest of its Xbox 360 players by confirming that Warp is going to be included in the upcoming 2012 edition of its Xbox Live House Party promotion.

After announcing that Warp will even kick off the promotion, appearing on February 15 for the Xbox 360, EA and Trapdoor, the publisher and developer, respectively, have now confirmed when it’s going to be released on other platforms.

PC owners and PlayStation 3 owners from North America will be able to get it on March 13, while European PS3 owners can download it one day later, on March 14. The game will be priced at $9.99/€9.99.

In case you’ve forgotten, in Warp you play as a little alien called Zero, who must escape a research facility by using his array of powers and abilities to defeat scientists and get back to his people.

"The choice is up to players to take bloody revenge on every human in the incarcerating facility, or hide and plan their escape for a no-kills, stealth game," Trapdoors said. "With endless combinations of abilities and upgrades, Warp lets players discover the most effective ways to solve puzzles and move throughout levels and challenge rooms, perfecting their skills and topping competitive leaderboards.”

As we have seen in previous videos, the game will slowly allow players to gain new powers throughout its campaign, with each being capable of helping in their pacifist or less than pacifist playthroughs.

Expect some more details about Warp in the near future, as we get closer to its release on the Xbox 360 next month.
