Also some minor changes

The Trophy wave seems to be hitting every major PlayStation 3 game this summer. As the console introduced the Achievement-like system in firmware update 2.41, publishers promised that games would begin to get Trophies as soon as possible. Now it's time for multiplayer shooter Warhawk to detail its offerings, which are set to arrive on August 27, just as the game gets upgraded to version 1.5 through a patch.

The game is set to feature more than 50 Trophies, which will be split into four categories, depending on which aspect of the game is involved in getting them. There are "Community Building" ones, which are awarded for things like hosting a server or contributing with fan made maps. There are also "Game Mode" Trophies that are available for those that are good as playing the various modes that Warhawk features, like surviving for more than a minute as the hero in Hero Mode. The "Vehicle" category is pretty self-explanatory, with Trophies up for grabs for those that can perform such feats as shooting down enemy aircraft using the main cannon of the tank. Last, but definitely not least, we find the "Warhawk Weapons" category, where the emphasis falls on great aiming and innovative use of weapons.

The interesting thing is that the developers claim that the newly announced Trophies will "work retroactively, meaning if you've already earned the requirements for those particular trophies they'll be automatically added," even if Sony previously said that this would not be possible.

The 1.5 patch for Warhawk also brings in some changes to the actual gameplay. Players will now be able to set up their own music tracks in the Home menu, and aircraft in the game will get new insignias and new paint schemes. A set of tutorials has been added to get new players quickly acquainted with the mechanics. But the big news is definitely the Trophy support, which will certainly keep Warhawk fans occupied for weeks.
