Mythic Entertainment is promoting a new event for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, the MMO using the dark fantasy setting created by Games Workshop.

Bitter Rivals runs until March 10 and offers all those players who are active in the game a chance to get their hands on some cool in game rewards, while also unlocking the new classes, which were unveiled a while back, the Dwarf Slayer and the Orc Choppa. If these classes are unlocked during the event by a player, he/she will have a head start in playing them before they become available to the whole server population.

One of the mainstays of the live event is the new Twisting Tower area, a scenario that is only used for Realm versus Realm combat. The setting is spectacular, with a ruined Chaos temple sitting over a vortex deep in the Chaos wastes. Players from Order and Destruction need to fight for the control of the temple, while avoiding all attacks the fallen god of the temple throws at them.

The Biter Rivals event is only the beginning of a series of live manifestations set to accompany the roll out of Call to Arms, the live expansion that should add the biggest content for Warhammer Online since the release of the MMO.

Towards the end of the Call to Arms expansion, players will get a chance to access the Land of the Dead, which is one of the biggest dungeons in the game, set in the deserts where the Tomb Kings dwell along with their undead hordes.

Mythic Entertainment also offered some hot fixes for patch 1.2, which went live on March 3. Players have been limited to just one active pet, without regard to the type. There have already been some tweaks to the balance of the game and the bugs that had been widely reported have been eliminated.
