A huge and silent CPU cooling system

Usually, the most overclocked central processing units are those fitted inside personal computer systems but sometimes even processors aimed at servers receive the very same treatment as overclocking is way less expensive than upgrading to a faster and more expensive CPU.

Most server systems are coming equipped with medium level active cooling solutions and thus their users are having big problems if they try to overclock them as the operating temperature of the central processing units will rise sharply and the whole server will become unstable or even fail. For those users that are thinking about overclocking a server computer system Thermalright has the best cooling solution, the HR-01X radiator.

Built around the design of the HR-01, the X version is now coming with six heat pipes and it also sports a number of mounting holes so users may add up a low RPM 120mm cooling fan. In order to keep the noise level way down, the Thermalright new cooler system is best paired with a slower speed large fan, as the large surface area of the aluminum fins and the full copper base make a fast fan unnecessary.

The Thermalright HR-01X comes with six heat pipes that are soldered to the copper base and it is also nickel plated in order to make an effective contact with the central processing unit. As most server mainboards are placed inside crammed cases, the whole cooling solution is adjustable and its position can be altered easily for a fast installation.

According to the manufacturing company, the Thermalright HR-01X is compatible with mainboards equipped with the 603, 604 and 771 sockets that are housing the Intel Xeon 5000 or 7000 series of processors. As this cooling solution is very performant it is able to handle both dual core and quad core server processing units as well as products from Advanced Micro Devices that are compatible with socket 7 mainboards.
