Job opening at Bungie

What would be the perfect job for you? Would you like to be a garbage man, a Fortune 500 CEO or a Halo 3 3D artist? If you were to ask me I would choose to be a garbage man, but there are no openings.

I have a few years ahead of me till I become a Fortune 500 CEO, so I guess I'll settle with working on Halo 3. You can try it too, as Halo.bungie.org reports that there is an opening at Bungie for a talented 3D artist. If you apply for this position and you are chosen, you will probably work on Halo 3.

To be a worthy candidate, you have to have some experience working with 3D Studio Max, Maya or other 3D packages. Some Photoshop experience is also required as well as a portfolio review. The job description also reveals that it would be a plus if you are familiar with the Halo universe, art style and video games. Another plus would be working in the games industry or mod community.

Your responsibilities will be of creating 3D assets for use in a game environment, enhance existing 3D models by increasing vertex counts and creating and applying higher resolution textures. If you know how to unwrap UVWs and textures assets created by others, it will be perfect.

If you feel you meet these requirements but can't take directions from art leads and other artists in order to define and refine produced assets, you are probably useless.
