Unlike some companies, Walton Chaintech may not be releasing new devices on a weekly basis, but it does try to make an impression when it does. For instance, back at the beginning of the month, the company launched the Astro Drive A101, one of, if not the, smallest USB 3.0 flash drive on the market. Now that the month is nearing its end, the company has decided to update its product line, this time with a memory solution for P55-based systems. Chaintech has now unveiled a pair of Apogee GT DDR3-2400 dual channel memory kits.

The APOGEE GT DDR3-2400 memory runs on 1.6(5)V and has timings of 9-11-10-27. As the name implies, the modules can reach a memory frequency of 2,400MHz, which allows a transmission bandwidth of 19,200MB/s. This makes the kits best suited for overclocking purposes. Furthermore, the kits employ 8-layer modules with a tall heatsink, which uses a heatpipe and heat-dissipation fins in order to ensure that temperatures stay under control even at higher clocks. This preserves memory stability and the overall lifespan of the units.

“APOGEE GT DDR3-2400 Memory is definitely the number 1 choice for extreme gamers. Gamers can rest assured of the product's quality because all Walton Chaintech products undergo strict quality testing and memory module selection. If used together with a DDR3- 2400 MHz motherboard, the performance of your processor will be greatly enhanced and you will reach a brand new level of computing experience,” the press release states.

Walton Chaintec offers a 2GB kit made up of two 1GB modules, as well as a 4GB kit (2 x 2GB). Both are meant for P55 motherboards. Unfortunately, the company made no mention of prices or release dates, but it is possible that, like other companies that recently showed off their unreleased devices, the manufacturer will make its kits available in April.
