Parents are worried about the name, not the costume

Walmart has taken a kids’ Halloween costume off the shelves over parents’ complaints about it being inappropriate.

The “Naughty Leopard” was spotted at one of the company stores in Portland, Oregon. It was available on the Walmart website as well, but under a different name. Walmart called it a “Leopard child Halloween costume” in its website listing.

KATU writes that it is not the actual costume that parents object to, it is the product name. I guess that “naughty” part has them upset, as I see nothing wrong with the getup itself.

“It was never our intention to offend anyone and we apologize to any customers who may have been offended by the name of the costume,” Walmart spokeswoman Danit Marquardt clarifies, while confirming having the product revoked.
