An ongoing Kickstarter campaign aims to raise the funds needed to help a wacky coloring book that promotes the use of electric vehicles hit the market.

The book in question is the brainchild of Ayumi Kim, who currently works at a Tesla store, and is dubbed “An Unpretentious Guide & Coloring Book to Electric Vehicles.”

Its creator says that the book will answer a series of rather bizarre questions that people thinking about buying one such environmentally friendly car have asked her over the years.

Thus, Ayumi Kim says that, at one point, she was asked if it were possible to plug in a chainsaw into the cigarette lighter that the electric vehicle that a customer was eying was fitted with.

One another occasion, she was asked to offer information on what would happen should a person behind the wheel of an electric vehicle hit a wombat while driving.

“Have you ever had those moments where you thought you could write an entire book JUST from your everyday wacky situations from work? Well, that's basically what I've done,” Ayumi Kim writes on Kickstarter.

“I've compiled months of bizarre questions, anecdotes, and occurrences from working at an electric vehicle store to bring you An Unpretentious Guide & Coloring Book to Electric Vehicles,” she adds.

Apart from offering answers to such weird questions, the 12 to 24-page book will include several useful infographics that detail the perks of owning an electric vehicle.

These infographics are expected to make such cars more appealing to drivers, Ayumi Kim explains.

The Tesla store employee says that, presently, the book's text is pretty much completed. Ayumi Kim expects that, with the help of artist Sarah W-R, it will not be long until the artwork is finished as well.

The Kickstarter campaign intended to fund this project aims to raise $3,500 (approximately €2,546), and has 25 days left to go.

“We will be using a good portion of the funds raised to pay for the actual publishing of the book. With the rest of the funds we will produce postcards, stickers and other reward items for our dedicated Kickstarter backers,” Ayumi Kim details on how the money will be spent.

“We will also need to pay for the art, design layout of the book, editing and merchandise design to make it as professional and classy as possible,” she goes on to explain.
