Publisher THQ has announced that it has launched two official sites for WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011, one on its official company site and another at a community oriented location, while also introducing several avatars inspired by the video game and the franchise on the Xbox Live.

The new Xbox Live Marketplace acquirable avatars include:

John Cena – a cap and both male and female outfits Undertaker – a hat and both male and female outfits DX – glowsticks, cap and both male and female outfits Edge – and both male and female outfits Randy Orton – both male and female shirts WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 – both male and female shirts Hornswoggle – an animated WWE superstar Rey Mysterio – a mask

A WWE Championship Belt will also be included for use on all Avatars.

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 is set to include a new physical engine that will gamers to perform more complex moves in the ring using their favorite star of the wrestling franchises, with the grapple elements receiving most of the attention.

Players will also be able to now roam the backstage areas before and after matches, allowing them to take in the spirit of the show and see who is pulling the ropes.

The new game also opens up more options when it comes to using the scenery in order to battle opponents and fans will be pleased to hear that chairs can be thrown at other fighters.

THQ has high hopes for the new WWE SmackDown vs. Raw, especially after the less than stellar performance posted by its other fighting series, UFC Undisputed 2010, which posted smaller number than the previous year's installment.

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 is set to be launched on October 26 of this year, with version prepared for the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the PS2, the Nintendo Wii and the PlayStation Portable handheld.
