WWE 13 is one of the core games that THQ is betting on in its attempt to return as a big publisher and the development team at Yuke says that the game will deliver a whole new level of excitement when it comes to wrestling simulation.

Cory Ledesma, who is the creative director working on the game, stated, “When it comes to the single player campaign ‘Attitude’, I think it’s by far our strongest single-player campaign that we’ve had in the franchise before. I’m really excited about it, probably because it’s about reliving that era, which was one of the most popular eras in all of wrestling history. There is so much great content and stories to be told there that haven’t been told for the last 15 years, and so on the single player campaign front I’m extremely excited.”

The developer also offered some information on the multiplayer, saying that, “it looks really strong. We’re able to continue to build on top of our Predator Engine from last year and make that even stronger. So the game is feeling really smooth and fluid and it’s really fun to play.”

Ledesma also mentioned the momentum of the wrestling series and encouraged the fans to pick up the new game and see what it has to offer.

WWE 13 includes new moves like ring breaks, barricade breaks, announce table breaks mid-air finishing catches, courtesy of an upgraded Predator 2.0 engine.

The core of the experience will be a career mode which includes regular training sessions, media appearance and regular events, with added weight for the feuds and the storylines that develop between the various wrestlers.

WWE 13 will be launched on the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii on October 30 in North America and three days later in Europe.
