Video game publisher THQ has announced that it is working on an all-new WrestleMania Edition for WWE 12, the wrestling game that it launched during November 2011, adding a number of new fighters in order to deliver a more complete take on wrestling for fans of the experience.

The new WrestleMania Edition for WWE 12 includes new content like:

- The Rock, described as the “most electrifying man in all of entertainment;” - Shawn Michaels, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Jim Ross, who have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame; - "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Trish Stratus and Batista, some of the best fighters from the near past of the promotion; - Mick Foley, Brodus Clay, Michael Cole, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Vickie Guerrero, Kharma and Alicia Fox, all of them active fighters; - alternative costumes for Road Warrior Hawk, Road Warrior Animal, Edge and Christian.

The newly announced fighters join a line-up of more than 70 others, including well-known names such as: Randy Orton, John Cena, Triple H, CM Punk, The Miz, Sheamus, Brock Lesnar, Alberto del Rio, Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan.

WWE 12 included a new technology called Predator, which was designed to make the combat more fluid and exciting.

The developers sought to create a more streamlined experience that made it easier for players to deliver impressive moves rather than simply focusing on submissions in order to win matches.

The game also delivers more options and events in the new WWE Universe Mode 2.0 and via the improved Road to WrestleMania mode.

Video game publisher THQ has recently announced that it was abandoning a number of intellectual properties and will be focusing on its core titles in the near future.

The WWE brand has always had a wide audience and THQ has the exclusive right to create video games based on the real world event.
