With Apple's WWDC '09 keynote over, the company has posted a streaming version of the recorded event on its website. Apple fans can watch Philip Schiller, senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, unveil the new iPhone 3G S, the new MacBook Pro family, and Mac OS X Snow Leopard by visiting the page below. A new guided tour is also available from Apple. As usual, the Mac maker is using one of its retail staffers to guide possible customers through the features of the new iPhone 3G S.

Apple WWDC '09 Event – Watch the Keynote Address

Apple kicked off yesterday's event by announcing upgrades to its range of Mac laptops. Excluding the company's ultra-thin MacBook Air, all unibody notebooks now feature an improved, built-in battery, an LED-backlit display with greater color intensity, an illuminated keyboard (new to the 13-incher), an SD card or ExpressCard slot, as well as a FireWire 800 port for more affordable prices. With the 13-inch unibody MacBook also joining the Pro line of Apple laptops, all three devices can be upgraded with as much as 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB solid state drive (SSD). During the same event, Apple again showcased Snow Leopard, this time as “an even more powerful and refined version of the world’s most advanced operating system.” Set to become the foundation for future Macs, Snow Leopard delivers hundreds of refinements, new core technologies, support for Microsoft Exchange and new accessibility features. The company also introduced Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server, a full 64-bit UNIX server OS that includes Podcast Producer 2 and Mobile Access Server. More on Snow Leopard via the link below.

Apple Unveils Polished-Up Snow Leopard

Touting the iPhone 3G S as “the fastest and most powerful iPhone yet,” the Cupertino-based company revealed that the next-gen device sported improved speed and performance, longer battery life, a 3-megapixel autofocus camera, a built-in digital compass, easy-to-use video recording and hands-free voice control. Besides Spotlight search, iPhone 3G S incorporates another OS X-specific function, namely VoiceOver.
