Vodafone has released Blackberry 8310 Curve in Germany some while ago and will do the same in the UK soon enough. The phone is just the same as the 8300 Curve one, only with the great advantage of also packing GPS functionality.

The fact that Vodafone was the company to bring this phone model on the German market gives good reasons to think that it will bring it on the UK market as well. Blackberry 8310 Curve manages to provide evolved multimedia solutions, including the Sat Nav feature, powered by Telmap. This is a powerful and easy to use navigation application.

GPS capability was used in the future only in the most evolved devices coming from Research in Motion (RIM). At this time, Nokia is considering using this technology in as many of its handsets as possible, which might eventually become a default feature. It would be a real shame not to see it being used in BlackBerry devices too, since the improvement that the 8310 Curve smartphone brings is quite welcome.

BlackBerry Curve 8310 is the smallest and lightest smartphone from RIM to come with a full QWERTY keyboard. The handset manages to provide average quality captures with the help of a 2 megapixel camera. More multimedia features come from the phone's media player and reliable internet connectivity.

The smartphone brings business solutions for email and text messaging. Moreover, it also provides instant messaging services and a web browser for staying up to date with the latest news at all times. All these features along with the GPS function make it worth the wait, although not for long, since Vodafone will bring this device in the UK quite soon.

The 8310 will be available starting with September 3rd with BlackBerry personal or business price plans for every need. The phone's cost will even make it free, depending on the price plan that it will come for.
