14 DAY TRIAL // Vodafone UK is the only wireless carrier who will add to its offering the Red flavor of Sony Ericsson's Xperia neo smartphone, and the company already informed users on the matter.
Apparently, the wireless carrier managed to score exclusivity on the cherry red variant of the mobile phone, though no specific info on when it might be released on shelves has emerged until now.
Vodafone UK has already put the Xperia neo on a coming-soon page on its website, and offers customers the possibility to register for receiving updates on when it could be made available for purchase.
The handset was unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, and should arrive on shelves at other carriers in the country all dressed in blue, it seems.
Running under the latest flavor of Android, the new mobile phone can easily prove a great option for those looking for an affordable device to keep them connected.
Not to mention that it includes the latest technology advancements from Sony Ericsson, such as the Exmor R technology for the camera, or the Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine.
“If you want an 8.1-megapixel camera on a smartphone running Android Gingerbread (2.3), choose the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.
The mobile phone can record videos in high-definition, and also offers users the possibility to view these videos on TVs using an HDMI connector.
The Xperia neo also comes with a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, a fast application processor inside, microSD memory card slot for expanding the available storage space, and support for various Google Mobile Services and applications.
“Just like the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo runs on the latest version of the Android operating system, known as Gingerbread,” Vodafone notes.
“This means it's easy to learn and fast to use - with lots of little improvements on earlier versions of Android. For example, better on-screen typing for when you're texting, updating Facebook or tweeting on Twitter.”
