Starting today, mobile phone users in Australia have the possibility to purchase the new white flavor of Apple's iPhone 4 handset from wireless carrier Vodafone, both through the company's online store, as well as via some of its brick and mortar locations.

The new color version of the handset was expected to arrive on shelves ever since the black variant was launched in June last year, but Apple had some issues with it, and was forced to delay it by almost a year.

“The Apple iPhone 4 White has arrived and is available for purchase today both online and in selected stores,” Vodafone Australia notes in a recent blog post.

The wireless carrier made the new device available for purchase on 24 month Vodafone Infinite Plans, as well as on 12 month plans and Cap plans.

On the Vodafone Infinite $45 plan, Australian users can purchase the new white version of the iPhone 4 for $15 extra per month for the iPhone 4 16GB (Total min cost: $1440), or for $20 extra per month for the iPhone 4 32GB (Total min cost: $1560).

On the Infinite $65 plan, the iPhone 4 16GB is available for $0 upfront (Total min cost: $1560), while the iPhone 4 32GB was made available for $5 extra per month (Total min cost: $1680).

Users interested in purchasing the white iPhone 4 16GB on the Infinite $85 plan would have it for $0 upfront (Total min cost: $2040). The iPhone 4 32GB is available for $0 upfront on the same plan too (Total min cost: $2040).

Just keep in mind that all these plans over a 24 month period. More info on the carrier's pricing for the new white iPhone 4 can be found on the company's website.

“For existing customers wanting to upgrade, you can go in store or call 1555 and say upgrades. New customers can order online, in store or over the phone 1300 300 404. Online ordering is available for new connections only,” the carrier notes.
